On September 15, 1984, a ray of light named Kristin Nicole Thames was born in Boston, MA. Her journey on this earth was marked by courage, resilience, loyalty, and ambition, as she steadfastly pursued her goals and nurtured the family she loved. Kristin was a beacon of strength and determination. She was a woman of faith, reminding us of the verse in Proverbs 31:25, "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come," which resonated with her love for laughter and her positive spirit.

Kristin was a passionate therapist, having earned her doctorate and was on the path to establishing her own practice. Her ambition was matched only by her resilience, and she was a source of comfort and guidance to many. Her hobbies, including reading, cooking, writing, and music, brought joy and warmth to her family and friends. Kristin's love for her family and friends was palpable, her loyalty to them unwavering. She had a heart for creating a village, a community of love and support, and it was this village that mattered the most to her.

Kristin Thames is survived by her devoted husband, Marquet Thames, whom she married on September 6, 2014, and their cherished children, Mason, Kamari, Christian, Kamryn, and Camille. She is also survived by her beloved parents, Paul Covington and Anita Hallett, and her precious granddaughter, Embrace Hallett. Visitation will be held at The River Church in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, starting at 9:00 am EDT, followed by a Home Going Celebration at 10:00 am EDT at the same venue. Interment will occur at Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens at 12:00 pm EDT. Kristin's life was a testament to her faith, her love for her family, and her resilience in the face of challenges.
